Mac and Cheese Rarebit Style
350g Dried macaroni pasta
1 tbsp Salt
For the sauce:
30g Plain flour
100ml Double cream
250g Grated cheese
1 Bunch of spring onions chopped
2-3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Cook the pasta for 9 minutes in salted boiling water.
Meanwhile to make the sauce, melt the butter in a large shallow oven proof pan.
Add the flour and stir together on a medium heat for 1 minutes to cook out the flour.
Pour in the beer a little at a time while stirring continually.
Add the cream and do the same keep stirring !
Scatter in the grated cheese and stir until melted.
When the pasta is cooked drain and transfer into the sauce.
Add the chopped spring onions.
Stir together and top with Worcestershire sauce and bread crumbs.
Bake in a pre heated oven for 190c for 10-15 minutes.
